The rapid growth of digital information has made the demand for high-speed, high-capacity networks increasingly urgent, and the speed and distance of data transmission have become a key challenge. In this context, the 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module, as a high-performance optical module, provides a new solution for long-distance high-speed transmission.

This product is a 100Gb/s transceiver module designed specifically for 100G BASE-LR4 optical communication applications. This module converts 4 channels of 25Gb/s electrical data input into 4 channels of local area network WDM optical signals, and then multiplexes them into a single channel for 100Gb/s optical transmission. On the contrary, at the receiving end, the module demultiplexes the 100Gb/s optical input into four LAN WDM optical signal channels, and then converts them into four electrical signal output channels.
The 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module is designed according to the Multi Source Protocol (MSA) as a QSFP with external dimensions and supports DDM digital diagnostic function. Its design meets the worst external working conditions including temperature, humidity, and electromagnetic interference.
The center wavelengths of the four LAN WDM channels are 1295.56nm, 1300.05nm, 1304.58nm, and 1309.14nm, serving as members of the LAN WDM wavelength grid defined in IEEE 802.3ba. This product comes with a high-performance cooled LAN WDM EA-DFB transmitter and a high sensitivity PLA receiver, providing excellent performance for 100G Ethernet applications. It uses an LC interface and can transmit up to 10km.

With the development and application of cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence, the processing capacity of data centers is facing severe challenges. The high speed and long-distance transmission characteristics of the 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module make it an ideal choice for high-speed data transmission within and between data centers.
The 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module is very suitable for long-distance connections in data centers and enterprise networks, such as 100G direct and interconnect. The 100G direct connection scheme is very simple, just insert two QSFP28 LR4 optical modules into the corresponding 100G switch ports, and then connect the two modules with an LC fiber optic jumper.

In order to solve the problem of transmitting a large amount of data, the application of 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical modules in the construction of urban and wide area networks has greatly improved the transmission speed of urban and wide area networks, while ensuring the demand for long-distance transmission.
