The main role of optical transceivers in AI is to achieve high-speed, efficient, and low-power data transmission, meeting the network requirements of application scenarios such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Optical transceivers are photoelectric conversion nodes for data transmission, and their performance and transmission bandwidth continue to increase with the development of optoelectronic devices and the improvement of integration.
Currently, they have evolved from 100G to 400G, or even 800G. The core components of the optical module include optical transceiver components (TOSA/ROSA), functional circuits, and optoelectronic interface components. Among them, the optical transceiver component is the core part of the optical module, responsible for converting electrical signals into optical signals, or converting optical signals into electrical signals.
