Type of electrical port module:
The electrical interface module can be divided into three types based on different rates: 10G SFP+, 100Base SFP, and adaptive electrical interface module. The following is an introduction to these three different application types of electrical interface modules.
The 10G SFP+ port module, also known as the 10G port module, has a speed of 10G and is designed specifically for high-speed communication links. It is mainly used in 10G Ethernet, and its power consumption is almost half of that of optical modules, making it an excellent power optimization solution. In addition, the 10G SFP+electrical port module is the first 10G optical module to be transmitted through network cables, which can be used in SFP+ports of switches or network cards to connect to network devices with RJ45 interfaces.
The 100Base SFP electrical port module can be used when the device network port is insufficient, that is, by using the SFP electrical port module to convert the SFP optical port into an RJ45 electrical port. The 100Base SFP electrical port module and SFP optical module have the same electrical interface, except that one uses an electrical port (i.e. RJ45 interface) and the other uses an optical port.
The adaptive electrical interface module is a gigabit optical module that can integrate 10/100/1000BASE three speeds onto a CMOS chip. It can be used for high-speed Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet. Unlike other electrical interface modules, this type of electrical interface module is more innovative in terms of speed and can meet different application needs.

What is the difference between an electrical module and an optical module?
Interface difference: The interface of the electrical module is RJ45, while the interface of the optical module is mainly LC duplex, and there are also LC simplex and MTP/MPO interfaces.
Different combinations: The electrical module is usually used with Class 5, Class 6, Super Class 6, or Class 7 network cables, while the optical module is generally connected to the optical jumper.
Parameter difference: The electrical module does not have a wavelength, while the optical module does.
Different components: The components of the electrical module and the optical module are different, especially the electrical module does not have the core component of the optical module – the laser.
